currently have a formal Hospitalist Program at this point. We do
however offer Five Other Options: (1) Option 1 - Join an MSG, The
Clinic. The Clinic is a 60 year old, physician owned group that is
located in a 32,000 square foot facility right on the hospital
campus. Multi-specialties are offered in OBGYN, Pediatrics, Internal
Medicine, Surgery, and Pathology. The facility also has a full
laboratory and x-ray department. This is a new position. Starting
base salary. The average internist in town makes about $225K per
year working lightly, and a couple of them make well over $300K. We
have one Internist who bills close to $500,000. A full benefits
package including major medical, dental, vision, paid mal practice
paid, CME, etc. Group uses EMR. Relocation and a sign on bonus
offered as well. (2) Option 2 - Join Dr., Family Practice. Dr. is
open four days a week, Monday – Thursday. He works usually 10-12
hours a day and has an urgent care practice. He is seeing about
25-40 patients a day and has a fair amount of worker’s compensation.
He is looking for an IM / FP who wants to take the lead of the
practice within 2 years. This is an employed position of the
hospital. Dr. is well connected in the community and the “movers and
shakers” in the community go to him. He has a nice facility and this
is currently an all out patient practice. Looking for somebody that
can allow him to back down to 2-3 days a week. Office is a mile and
a half from the hospital. His inpatient is being handled by another
Internist in the community. He is a super physician and has a great
personality! (3) Option 3 – Join Dr. , Internist. THIS IS A NEW
DYNAMITE POSITION!. This is for a candidate who is available this
year or early 2010. The need is for hungry Internal Medicine or
Family Practice candidate who wants to walk into a fully established
busy and lucrative practice and stay in the office doing outpatient
only work. This practice sees 40 patients a day and is the busiest
in town. He has a 2,700 sq foot office. Employed or Contracted. This
practice is the Crown Jewel opportunity in town. He is the 2nd
busier admitter to the hospital (4) Option 4 - Go into Private
Practice and be an Independent Contractor. For the candidate who is
very independent and prefers having control of his situation and
sharing call with others we offer the private practice route. This
route offers personal control, freedom, and flexibility of time
while still receiving assistance with the “business” side of the
practice if wanted. This route also offers the more lucrative
situation over being employed. (5) Option 5 - Be a Hospital Employee
and share call with others. For the candidate who does not want to
be concerned about the business side of practice but does not mind
not having control of time and practice.
